Baisc Features
- Backups separate partitions as well as the whole hard disk: backup image can be an exact "byte-to-byte" copy of a partition or a hard disk - the system will immediately become bootable after restoration or cloning.
- Creates an image of running operating system without interrupting it (Windows?? NT, 2000, XP, 2003 only) - HotBackup ("online backup") technology.
- Backups directly to recordable and writable CDs or DVDs.
- Creates bootable backup images (by adding the Simple Restore Wizard as a bootable part).
- Creates multivolume backup images.
- Enables keeping the backup image on hidden (unmounted) partitions (FAT, NTFS, Ext2/3 FS).
- Supports incremental backup.
- Enables Windows OS auxiliary files skipping to decrease the size of resulting backup image (such as pagefile.sys, hyberfil.sys).
- Compresses the backup image (you can choose the compression level).
- Encrypts backup image and protects it with the password.
- Restores separate partition from hard disk image.
- Allows to extract separate files and folders from backup image with add-on Image Explorer.
- Enables partition size enlargement while restoration or cloning (useful while upgrading the hard drive to larger one, for example).
- Copies and moves partition of any file system as well as the entire disk (disk cloning): Sector-by-Sector mode.
