How to filter spamDetect and isolate unsolicited junk mail sent to your mailbox.Spam is a term used to mean unsolicited, bulk e-mail that clogs your e-mail inbox and is often annoying. A mail filter is a piece of software which takes an input of an email message. For its output, it might pass the message through unchanged for delivery to the user's mailbox, it might redirect the message for delivery elsewhere, or it might even throw the message away. Some mail filters are able to edit messages during processing. Spam filter software works with email programs such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Eudora, Mozilla Mail, Mozilla Thunderbird, Netscape Mail and Opera. Configure which accounts will be monitored, you can add new accounts, change the way filters behave, change the sensitivity of filters, configure how confirmation messages are sent, alter your allow/block list and view messages that are currently stored in quarantine. Here is one of anti spam filter software, tell you how to prevent and stop spam from your inbox. Step 1. Download Spamologist here. Step 2. Set E-Mail Account Step 3. Dictionary Filtering The dictionary filtering method in Spamologist checks incoming messages against a "dictionary". The dictionary is basically a list of words and sentences that are commonly used by spammers. The weight of each word can be individually configured and tweaked to suit your needs. Additionally, you can set different weights for words that appear in the body or the subject. Step 4. Advanced Header Filtering The advanced header filtering feature allows the email headers to be analyzed and compared to a list of characteristics which are commonly found in spam messages. These filters are highly customizable using a simple Boolean rule based algorithm. It is highly recommended that you read the information about the syntax needed to create these rules. If an incorrect or erroneous rule is created all emails could be automatically filtered without making it to your inbox. Step 5.Confirmation The confirmation feature is a unique feature to Spamologist. When a person sends you a message, Spamologist will automatically reply to the sender asking them to confirm it. The message is not marked for release until the message has been confirmed by the person who originally sent it. You can configure this feature to send a confirmation message to anyone that has never sent you a message before, or for messages that are not diagnosed as spam, or for messages that are diagnosed as spam. You can also select how the person must confirm the message. Step 6. Allow and Block List The allow and block list feature in Spamologist allow you to manually or automatically configure who can send you messages and who cant. Messages sent from people who are on your allow list will be automatically accepted, while people on your block list will be automatically declined. For the first few weeks of using Spamologist, we recommend that you keep an eye on your quarantine section and automatically add newsletters etc to your allow list. Some features (if enabled) can automatically keep your allow list and block list configured. For example, when you send a message to a friend the friends email address will be automatically added to the allow list. Step 7.Quarantine When a message is filtered or blocked it makes its way to the quarantine section of Spamologist. The quarantine section is a safe place away from your inbox where messages go when they are filtered, blocked or awaiting confirmation. You can safely view messages in the quarantine section to analyze them closer. You can also change their status manually. If a message is accidentally filtered you can change its status to allow it into your inbox. Please give this page a point
