CDA to WAV Converter

Sometimes, if you want to edit a song on an audio CD, you can not edit it on CD, you have to extract the song from CD and save it to your PC. The procedure extracting a song from CD is called "Ripping".

WAV (also called "WAVE") is a Microsoft and IBM audio file format standard for storing audio on PCs, which features no compression, no quality loss, and easy for editing. So if you want to convert your CDA files to PC files for editing, you'd better convert CDA to WAV format.

The difference between WAV and MP3: WAVs are much bulkier than MP3s, but require no additional software to play. MP3s require special players such as Napster or WinAmp. MP3s are better suited for swapping songs over the Web, while WAVs work better for audio-enhanced web sites.

CDA means CD audio tracks, it features the best audio quality. Each CD audio track has a file with extension ".cda". CDA files are actually pointers to the locations of the individual tracks on the CD medium.
